I’m now a big fan of cologne. I’m not sure what instigated the change, but I’ve just grown to love using it. And so, when a CK rep messaged me about the “We are One” fragrance, I felt compelled to write about it. You might be thinking: “Dude, this guy is so weird,” but please, bear with me. I really do find the new CK One fragrance interesting.

Usually, designers don’t go all that far when promoting their products. Or at least, I haven’t seen any. But I really like CK’s stepping in to the Internet to push the CK One. They’ve got a YouTube channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/ckonedotcom), a really professional flash-based website (http://www.ckone.com), and also a Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/pages/ck-one/40471784689). Moreover, the theme of the CK One just gets me — “We are one.” And CK unifies us by branding in a Limited Edition version with a bundled MP3 player. Holy crap. I think it’s really cool, because firstly: I will have an MP3 player in my bathroom, and I can finally sing in the shower to something other than that old radio. Secondly, typically, cologne doesn’t step out of the box like that.

Some may find it tacky, but I find it weirdly refreshing. Call me a sap, call me a sucker, but I think I’m going to really give the CK One a try.
